After playing the I Madonnari chalk painting festival last week in Santa Barbara, I felt so energized and inspired. A place where the community comes together to celebrate color, art, friends, leaders, wisdom, collaboration, children, deliciousness, music, and unity. It was a joy playing with my local band to an appreciative audience… dancing kids, umbrellas, ice cream, sunshine… joyous world. And my favorite moment (below) was when we sang a cover of “I’ll Fly Away” and a priest came out and encouraged everyone to join the song!
All things creative and colorful to enjoy! Saturday, May 25th come to Art Along the Creek– local paintings, and some live music. (I’ll play from 2-3pm). 37 Mountain Drive, across from Rocky Nook Park in Santa Barbara.
Then I Maddonari at the Santa Barbara Mission! Beautiful chalk painting festival with delicious Italian food, mind blowing art and live music. Playin’ from 3-4:30pm on Monday, May 27th.
A lazy Sunday on the front porch… Sunshine, singing with a friend, and an applause from a stoked neighbor up the hill.
Tomorrow, Friday: 4-7pm Fundraiser party at Topa Topa School in Ojai. Raising money for garden and health education in our local schools! I’ll be providing live music with a sweet local crew of bandmates. Event is free!
This Wednesday! Bring a friend, fill up your glass, and enjoy yourself at Oreana Winery for the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival pre party. I’ll be playing from 6:30-7:15pm. A good cause and a good reason to have some midweek fun!
